Thomas Dismukes

Thomas Dismukes is a husband, father of five, and South Carolina resident committed to faith, family, and freedom. He is a fiscal conservative who believes in limited government, personal responsibility, and restoring the principles that made America strong.

Thomas has lived a full and unconventional life, shaped by real-world experiences, leadership, and a deep commitment to serving others. Over the past 25 years, he has spoken to audiences across the United States and in more than 40 countries, reaching several million people with messages on leadership, character, and personal responsibility.

As the author of “A Leader’s FOCUS,” Thomas’s influence extends far beyond the podium. His life is marked by the kind of experiences that most people only hear about in stories—Thomas’s true life adventures range from sleeping in dumpsters in England to exploring the Arctic Circle. He’s survived bareback rodeos, skunks in space suits and electrocution in Sweden. He’s walked through the Alps barefoot, lassoed a wild beaver, discovered a lost tomb in Scotland, broken a World Record and was nearly drowned by an irrational goose. These moments are more than stories—they reflect a life willing to step forward, take risks, and follow through.  For several years, Thomas has traveled to underserved communities around the world, equipping indigenous farmers with techniques to increase crop yields—while sharing the hope and love of Christ.

Rather than pursuing a career in politics, he has focused on building a life centered on family, community, and purpose. His background in speaking and leadership development has given him a unique ability to connect with people from all walks of life and communicate ideas in a way that is both practical and personal.

He is running for the United States Senate not because he desires the position, but because he believes something must change. Thomas is not seeking power or status—he is seeking to serve. His commitment is simple: do the job with integrity, represent the people faithfully, and then return home.

Thomas believes elected officials are employees of the people, not the other way around. His campaign is rooted in the idea that government should work for citizens, not control them, and that freedom must be protected through responsibility, courage, and action.

Thomas is guided by his faith in Jesus Christ and his dedication to his family. He is adamant for the protection of life, strong borders, and unwavering support for the men and women who protect us here and abroad. He is certain that America’s best days are still ahead if its people are willing to stand up, take responsibility, and lead.

Just Call Me Thomas

From the Grand Canyon to muddy trails and meaningful moments, our family loves to explore, learn, and simply be together. We believe life is meant to be lived fully—hands dirty, hearts open, and eyes wide to what God is doing around us.

For nearly 30 years, we’ve had the privilege of serving at the Clemson University Outdoor Lab, working with incredible special needs children and adults. It’s been one of the greatest blessings of our lives and a place where we’ve tried to instill in our kids a simple mindset: "Lead by serving others." and “Find a need and fill it.”

We’re proud of our children—not just for what they accomplish, but for who they’re becoming. And I’ve always said… thank goodness they get their good looks from their daddy… because their mother still has hers.
